of course Wii U emulation has awhile too go, anwhere from 1-4 years, but hey they already can emulate the "controller" so it could happen sooner than expected.

I suspect the biggest issue with Wii U emulation is going to be the same as the issue with 3DS emulation. Reasonably high-end computers probably already have the horsepower, and I doubt reverse engineering most of the functionality is any more difficult than usual. But the encryption Nintendo has adopted since the 3DS (after being badly burnt with the Wii and DS) has yet to be broken, and most of the emu/homebrew scene crowd have been quite pessimistic on that front.
